Forex Pip Calculator

Calculate the monetary value of a pip for any currency pair and position size.

How to Use the Pip Calculator

Select your currency pair, enter your position size in lots (1 standard lot = 100,000 units), choose your account currency, and enter the current exchange rate. Click Calculate to see the monetary value of one pip for your specified position.

What is a Pip?

A pip (percentage in point) is the smallest standard price increment for a currency pair. For most pairs quoted to four decimal places (e.g. EUR/USD), one pip = 0.0001. For JPY pairs quoted to two decimal places (e.g. USD/JPY), one pip = 0.01.

Why Pip Value Matters

Understanding pip value is essential for position sizing and risk management. If your stop-loss is 20 pips away and each pip is worth $10, you risk $200 per standard lot. Calculating this before entering a trade ensures you never risk more than your intended amount per position.
